This thing will not only make sure you have correct form, but it also really focuses in on the biceps better then a preacher bench. I am really impressed. The only down sides I can see is you must make sure you have the neck strap set to the right length. You're going to want to set it a little short at first.

Great tool for isolating biceps, when you first use it only do about half of your normal curl weight, or you will be very sore the next day; also mind keeping your back straight, some people tend to lean forward when using this, which is wrong. You will feel the difference in your arms with this after the first day. Product is solid and will last a long time.

This product keeps your elbows forward as you do a curl. Without it, as you curl, your elbows tend to go back. To keep your elbows from going back you must use your front shoulder muscles. Being that they may be tired from doing bench presses, you can overwork the front of your shoulders.
This simple product prevents overworking the front of your shoulders by supporting your elbows. It is very effective in preventing front shoulder pain from overworking them if you do bench presses and curls
Preacher curls without the bench!
Ok, I'll admit it, I have pretty terrible curl form - mainly because I'm more into strength training where cheat curls are a tad more acceptable. Or maybe, I just have bad curl form because of my own bad habits. Because of that, I try to throw in preacher curls when I'm at the gym. Problem is I'm more of a home gym guy and don't have a preacher curl bench, nor do I want one. It takes up so much space. So, I saw this at $30 and figured what the heck, worst case I'm out $30.
When I got it, I couldn't wait to try it and do a few sets. Wow, it works great. It's basically the same as a preacher bench but without requiring the added room in your garage. Also, like Arnold says in his encyclopedia, it does a great job working the lower bicep, which I have deficiencies. Just make sure to put a lot less weight on it.
Getting the strap to the right length takes a little bit of time but it's worth it. Look at the picture in Arnold's The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding : The Bible of Bodybuilding, Fully Updated and Revised if you need a hand checking where it should be on you. I needed a visual pointer myself.
Really cool device, well made and built to last. Highly recommended if you have bad curl form or want preacher curls sans the bench.
