Meet the Chicago Staff

 

Darin

Darin, Store Manager and Chicago Area Commercial Sales Manager

Darin has been in the fitness industry for over 30 years. He competed at the National Level in the ADFPA powerlifting Federation before switching over and competing at the National Level in Olympic Weightlifting. During this time he became a Coach for both Powerlifting and Olympic Weightlifting.
While working towards a degree in Health & Fitness Technology he obtained certifications from USAW, ACSM, NSCA and ACE and was a personal Trainer in the Seattle Washington area. He eventually became a Strength & Conditioning coach. Darin worked with the Seattle Supersonics running their Youth camps, was an Assistant to Peter Schmock, Seattle Mariners strength coach, and was the Strength Coach for the Seattle Reign, women’s Pro basketball team.
During this time he also developed Strength & Conditioning programs for the Seattle Metropolitan High Schools and was a contributor to the Seattle times “On Fitness” Section.
Darin later opened three fitness centers and went on to become a partner in Fitness 19 helping to open over 160 clubs nationwide. After selling in 2012 he took up Crossfit and later came to the Fitness Factory.
