The Endurance by Body-Solid E400 Elliptical Trainer is built with a patented center drive design and a low center of gravity providing a smooth and quiet cardio workout.
The E400 Elliptical has an adjustable 17”-21” stride to ensure the best fit for all users. Dual-action upper and lower body movements provide a total body workout. Fully adjustable with 20 levels of resistance, the E400 Elliptical also features a wireless HRC (heart-rate control) with a chest strap that keeps users in their target zones.
The Endurance by Body-Solid E400 Elliptical Trainer is programmable with six preset programs, five heart-rate programs, manual mode and two user profiles. The center drive design provides a more compact and stable platform than front or rear-drive ellipticals without compromising biomechanics. Profile Window
This 10x14 LED Profile Window displays Program Profile, Tension (Resistance) Bar, Heart Rate Bar (HR Programs only), Lap Progress Display and Lap Counter. The Pro file Win dow toggles between program profile (displayed for 10 seconds in window) and lap counter (displayed for 30 seconds in window), except in Heart Rate Programs.
Lap Display
Lap Display shows your progress around a virtual track. Lap Display also shows the resistance level in the first column. Every dot in the resistance column represents an increment of two resistance levels.
The E400 comes equipped with Heart Rate Contacts as well as a Heart Rate Control Chest Strap for use with the 5 HRC Programs. The Heart Rate Control Strap sends your heart rate information to the console for processing. Heart rate control programs are designed to automatically change resistance to keep your heart rate at a predetermined level based on the selected Heart Rate program. Two User Profiles
User Profiles U1 and U2 allow you to customize and save exercise sessions
Preset: Mountain
This program takes the user gradually up to a high resistance level, then brings the resistance level back down to the starting point. This program simulates what one might encounter on a true mountain course. This is a difficult program since higher tension levels are maintained for long periods of time.
Preset: Hill
This program takes the user through two hill profiles. Resistance changes are small during this program. This is a good program to get started with or for someone looking for a lower stress workout.
Preset: Random
This program randomly generates a new program profile every time it is chosen. This allows you to keep the workouts fresh and motivating. When you scroll thru the programs to reach the RANDOM program, you will be able to see the program profile. If this profile is not to your liking, simply scroll thru the programs again and a new RANDOM program will be generated. The RANDOM program will be different every time you use it.
Preset: Interval
This program simulates interval training thru a series of two hill profiles.
Preset: Interval Mountain
This program simulates interval training thru a difficult mountain profile.
Preset: Interval Speed Training
This program simulates interval training with more extreme levels of high and low intensity levels.
The 5 heart rate control programs are designed to automatically change resistance to keep your heart rate at a predetermined level based on the selected Heart Rate Program. Each Heart Rate Program is designed with a specific goal in mind. The E400 includes a Heart Rate Chest Strap for wireless monitoring
HRC Program: % Target Heart Rate
% Target Heart Rate allows the user to select a percentage of Maximum Heart Rate that would like to be maintained during the exercise session. The percentage range can be varied from 50% to 85%.
HRC Program: 80%, Cardio
HR 80% maintains the Target Heart Rate at 80% of the Maximum Heart Rate by automatically adjusting resistance levels. This program provides for a high intensity, cardiovascular workout.
HRC Program: 65%, Fat Burn
HR 65% maintains the Target Heart Rate at 65% of the Maximum Heart Rate by automatically adjusting the resistance levels. This program provides the ultimate fat burning workout.
HRC Program: 65-75-85%, Hill
HR Hill simulates hill training by changing the Target Heart Rate thru 3 different percentages. The changes will occur as follows: 65% - 75% - 85% - 75% - 65% -75% - 85% etc. Each percentage will be held for 3 minutes before changing to the next percentage.
HRC Program: Hill Interval
The HR INTERVAL program alternates between 65% and 85% of your Max HR. This program provides an excellent fat burn and cardiovascular workout. Each percentage will be held for 4 minutes before alternating to the next percentage.

| Pretty awesome delivery turnaround 5 days better than expected for sure. Easy to put together, great instructions, really like the way all of the hardware was packaged & labeled per step #’s, took me roughly 35 minutes to put together with no issues. Very smooth and solid when in use. I have had and use so many other cardio exercise equipment that doesn’t even compare to this machine. Not hard on the knees, hips or back. This is a big plus for me and the wife. Does it work out your muscle groups. Makes you look forward to the next work out. When I complete a 30 minute work out on the Endurance E400 there is no comparison to any other cardio equipment by for. Also would like to say before I purchased the Endurance E400 Elliptical I did a lot of research on the equipment and also pricing of the different types of equipment out on the market. I have to say that the reviews on center drive elliptical were way off. My research and choices where on 3 different center drive machines with the same specs as the Endurance E400. When talking with the different companies for pricing and their backing of their products I ended up going with Fitness Factory because of the sales person gave me the confidence on what he was telling me was good honest information and didn’t lead me on like the others with high pressure to sell their product, also Fitness Factory manufactures their equipment. Everything the Fitness Factory sales representative told me was factually and very pleasant buying experience. Don’t find this any more! No I don’t work for or am I affiliated with Fitness Factory. | I absolutely love this piece of equipment. It arrived today on schedule and now sits in my fitness room across from my home office...no more gym fees for this man. Body Solid learned from their mistakes with the lack of instructions for the EXM2500 gym (it too...also have a spot in my fitness room). The instruction manual listed precise instructions for every part and activity in assembly of the E400. All the nuts and bolts were properly labeled ("step 1", etc.) and grouped in little plastic bags according to the steps in the manual. After removing all the components from the box, I realized that the base requires a two-person lift. Do not attempt to lift this by yourself as it weighs over 200lbs. Fortunately, I had some help nearby. The construction is of commercial grade/quality and will last a long time with good care and zero abuse. There is nothing to dislike about this piece of equipment. I believe this was money well spent. |
Large, heavy, or high value items will ship via LTL freight carrier. These shipments usually have extended handling times, then ship from the Chicagoland area. Delivery takes place MONDAY-FRIDAY usually during business hours, you must be present and a signature is required.
The carrier will contact you by phone to schedule delivery. They will use the phone number on your order confirmation to call you, please ensure this is the best method to reach you. Please contact us if you need to add or change this number. Additional fees may be incured for redelivery if you are not present for the scheduled appointment, or if they cannot reach you to schedule the delivery.
During delivery the carrier truck will park on the street as close to your address as possible. An optional Lift-Gate service lowers the palletized shipment down to the ground curbside. Please call us for additional services like white glove delivery or installation.
Damage: It is your responsibility to inspect the merchandise prior to the truck's departure. Please note any damage to packaging, and missing items on the freight bill. Ensure the number of boxes present matches the number on the bill This will aid in the return/replacement process.
