By redistributing weight like a "backpack", this is the ONLY bar that doesn't rest on your neck and cervical spine. With an ultra-comfortable memory foam harness, you can load moreweight without discomfort. Our revolutionary design lets you do lunges, back squats, and front squats - hands free - like no other bar on the market. By reducing axial load on your neck and back you will reduce wear and tear on your spine, shoulders, hips and knees.
“The Marrs Bar SAFELY allows lifters of any age and skill level, to produce strength and power without the fear of injury from improper technique.” Dr. Rob Jones, Peak Performance Health Center

I have several other top rated safety squat bars from various fitness companies and honestly this one is in the top 2 in how it feels when lifting and performance. I was a bit skeptical at first to get the Marrs Squat Bar due to having several other safety squat bars and squat bars but has been an excellent addition to the toolkit. I only use the Marrs Squat Bar for back squats (no front squats) and have been extremely pleased in how comfortable it is when squatting. As noted in other reviews of the Marrs Squat Bar, it is mainly a lower back squat based on bar placement (weight displacement is lower than other squat bars). I occasionally have knee pain when squatting and have not had any knee pain when squatting with the bar. The handles are curved down which is a little different than the curved handles on other bars. This has not been an issue and actually makes the bar more secure when squatting. Some assembly is required (plate sleeves need to be added to the bar but it is very quick and easy. I would recommend the Marrs Squat Bar even if you have other squat bars since it does hit the leg muscles a little differently. I am even considering getting a 2nd Marrs Squat Bar for travel when hitting the road.
